NAACP and their racist track record

NAACP
The biggest racist hypocrites around!
To the NAACP, it is OK if there is a black history month as well as "African American clubs" in school, but watch what happens when someone tries to set up a "European-American Club" in a school.......the NAACP will say "No, you can't have that!".....it actually happened in Northern California a few years ago.To the liberals who I know will recommend this for deletion, hey it's the truth!!!

The NAACP Fights for black rights only, hates white people.
The NAACP was quick to back up Rodney King, and pull the race card, but they did not realize he was resisting a legal arrest, and the cops had to put him down.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
They're the ones who banned "Song of the South" and the Little Black Sambo books. Which is a shame, because "Song of the South" portrays Uncle Remus as the lovable hero, and the Little Black Sambo books are based on old African folk tales. Ahh well.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
Black civil rights organization that was very influential in the 60s and 70s, but doesn't really know what it stands for anymore.
Did you hear Bush declined to speak before the NAACP? So, he picked Condi Rice as Secretary of State.

NAACP
A group of blacks that would rather still mentally live in the slave days than update to modern America where they have equal opportunities, and sometimes even special treatment for being black. They are also a group which refuse to allow Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream of having no racism between blacks and whites to come true.
When Stanley Williams was being executed, the NAACP was screaming racism, despite the fact that he was being executed for starting the Crips and was also obviously not sorry for what he did because he never apologized to the family members of the victims he killed. If Tookie had been white, the hypocritical NAACP would've been screaming, "Let the cracker burn in hell!"

NAACP
Hypocritical organization always seeking compensation and reparations for the dumbest shit. They think they're the only race out there suffering from racism and other problems. Large groups of moronic asshole who all need to die slowly in a fire. The NAACP needs to get a fucking life. They are the most persistent motherfuckers out there who refuse to let things go. Black people (especially the NAACP) ask for compensation for slavery when other people had it worse off than them.

NAACP
A now-obsolete organization created in 1909. From the time it began through the 1950s and 60s, however, it was a great organization. That is because it was doing what it was supposed to do: finally give blacks their equal and civil rights that they should have had from the very beginning. They could have received them a long time ago, but the Jim Crow South and racists in the North and out west wouldn't acknowledge or respect the 13th-15th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, added way back in the 1860s.But today, the NAACP doesn't even know what they are really doing. Many members believe that white people hate them, are racists, and don't care about black civil rights. The fact is, even though there are many white racist idiots (but nowhere near as many as there were only fifty years ago) out there who cause sporadic but few incidents, most white people don't just tolerate black people, but they like them. Those same white people (including myself) want them to have equal rights and civil liberties; many of them are here to help. I honestly believe (as well as tens of millions of other people in this nation) that a large number of black Americans need to get the chips off their shoulders. Most likely, nothing serious or even moderately bad will ever happen to them; times have changed and so have peoples' attitudes. It's nowhere near as bad as it used to be, and it can only get better.

NAACP
An obsolete organization formally the front runner in racial equality pursuits and ideas, now dealing in partisan political funding. In a post civil rights America they seem more interested in reverse racism and black rule rather than equality, backing several black exclusive or nearly exclusive properties including the "Black Entertainment Television", and endorsement of prejudges against their own race, including backing the thought that all black people speak in Ebonics, waste all their money on jewelry, would rather "hustle" than have a legitimate job, prefer random sexual encounters over meaningful relationships often resulting in illegitimate children and "welfare babies", and would rather "keep it real" ie: use what you learn from your friends and family, than pursue higher education, via such venues as certain "rap" lyrics, movies such as "Soul Plane" or the House Party" series. All this instead of backing the formal goal of the organization of helping people of color that have been discriminated against.
And a fond wish for the success and fall of the NAACP.

My conversation with a liberal

"Why do do hate liberals if we are for truth and justice?"

Actually here is the lowdown on what is real and what is not...You are liberal which means you don't know up from down nor right from wrong and everything is upside down in your heads. You suffer a giant detachment from reality due to your pathos (liberalism) and all of the prozac in the manufacturing plants couldn't fix any liberal.Your'e doomed to an eternity of blindness and stupidity.

"We liberals are for equality"

What utter bullcrap.
Liberals molest us with their retrograde beliefs and desires and liberalism like Islam should be outlawed in America and the free world..
I for one stand for the liberation of Americans and not the oppression of the communist left liberalist .
The Christians credibility and goal is based on making the world more peaceful and free as you are well aware of .
Liberalism stands for perversion and oppression.
People like you are worthless and you represent nothing.
Frankly, the feigned ego you liberals represent is weak and is going to backfire on you and others like you, and is going to be your undoing.
The liberals, in the mind of many God fearing and loving peaceful people ,are nothing more than the tragically fragmented pieces of society.
You stand for the destruction of everything moral and there is no middle ground in the war between good and evil.
Face it, liberals are out to ruin the planet, and that God hates you and that is not a battle a rational person would like to lose.
You scumbags hide behind the homeless , racial, and Gay agendas, and pretend you care but you lousy scumbags only care about destroying morality and will use any vehicle available, which means you're all whores.
You're slavish worship of immorality can be seen for what it is by every God fearing and peaceful American.
You are out to rip everyone off and screw them out of their beliefs which make liberals the lousiest people on the planet and this is a Marxist war of dirty ideals you perverts have started.
Liberalism is the dark side of rationality and if your brains were to be shoved up an ant’s arse they'd rattle around like a bebe in a boxcar because liberals are weak minded cretins.
You started off with a false premise in your original response and now I am here to set the record straight for everyone reading this to see.
I, and people like myself that are the waltz of reason and reality, are here to expose the clouds of liberalism that are attempting to ruin the world’s sunshine.
Hate that don't you?
You know it is a losing battle on your end. You are a liberal which means that you are an audacious liar and, your deep leftist stench is rising up once again, this time in America.
My answer as a republican and patriot as well as a God lover and believer, is that who cares what you think is important?
You are a minority and the constitution is set up for the majority of good and not the minority of sin.
As a liberal you are the internal enemy of America and a group of psychopaths ,because the radical left is mentally ill, they are the damaged goods of America and your subjective Godless gibberish proves that you all hate American white Christian Heterosexuals(like the ACLU)and you want to see them destroyed.
I have news for the right and left as well. Liberals want a country where only THEY can live!
Eliminating liberalism is a hope that will one day become a reality.
As an American that believes in morals, and has a moral compass to guide them unlike the liberal ,it is plain to see that the radical left wants desperately to set others moral standards.
Things just aren't looking to good for you desperate little bedwetting liberals these days.
The Christian right is rising it's powerful and moral God loving heads and are ready to battle you in the courts, the workplace, the churches, and anywhere else there is a level playing field.
You are all a phony bunch of weak minded individuals that fails the litmus test of rationality.
This country is bleeding from the heart because of you bastards.
I may be a guy that lets the mosquito out of the windows but if try to take down morality then I'm out to get you first. If you try to take down our churches then we are going to take you out first because your goal is to destroy this nation.
This is a war between the sane Christian and the insane liberal .
In this story,if you want Christians to accept you then show us that you are not anything more than moral less animals.
The plot is the good always wins as the final scene comes to an end.
I particularly like animals but I do not like liberals and no matter how rational you try to fake coming off as you are all mentally ill losers.

Religious people are here to deconstruct the lies of liberalism and there are millions on this planet that would agree with me when I say you are all sycophants and fools.
The liberals use selective transference of their degenerate philosophy to a moral society by painting an inaccurate propaganda picture about Christians, homosexuality, genocide.
Someone should institute a perverts anonymous for you people to join.
Everytime the radical left speaks my teeth clench from embarrassment for the human race.
You feed each other lies and try to pass it off as truth, you all hate this country down to it's bones and you are all subjective degenerates.
Nothing more than a bunch of boweevils trying to undo all of this country's hard work.
Liberalism is the exact opposite of the Trojan horse, because your agenda and desires were written in stone long ago.
You hate goodness and morality to the core.

NBC = Never Been Christian

Fire Imus over some stupid remarks but unleash your fury on Christian morality.Seems the execs over at NBC need to learn the word "hypocrites" and how it paints them in a bad light from head to toe.

Ratings at Root of NBC's Anti-Christian 'Madonna' Broadcast, Says CriticBy Ed Thomas and Jody Brown

AgapePressSeptember 21, 2006
(AgapePress) -- A former CBS news executive is criticizing NBC for the network's plans to air a special featuring Madonna in a blasphemous musical performance later this year. Author and political pundit Bernard Goldberg has told the Fox News Channel that he finds nothing admirable in what NBC is trying to do.
The television special reportedly would feature the same musical presentation included in Madonna's recent world tour: a mock crucifixion of Christ. In the show, the singer -- wearing a fake crown of thorns -- descends to the stage on a suspended cross of disco-type mirrors. NBC has thus far ignored Christian leaders who have complained about the mockery. In fact, according to the American Family Association (AFA), an NBC official has stated the network finds nothing wrong with the mock crucifixion scene.
Goldberg, the author of 100 People Who Are Screwing Up America, told an audience on The O'Reilly Factor that there is nothing courageous or cutting-edge about offending Christians. "Christians are the only group in our entire culture who are fair game," he said. "You'll never get in trouble for attacking Christians or taking their most sacred symbols and trashing them."....more

NBC IGNORES JOHN EDWARDS’ CHRISTIAN-BASHING BLOGGERS
In John Edwards’ first broadcast network interview since his official campaign bloggers resigned after infuriating Christians with hateful and bigoted postings on their own Web sites, NBC Today co-host Meredith Vieira let the liberal Democrat completely off the hook regarding both “Blogger-gate” and the candidate’s own inept response. Instead, as news analyst Geoff Dickens noted on the MRC’s NewsBusters blog, “Vieira focused her questions from the left on Iraq and his opinion of the dust-up between rivals Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.”
Indeed, Vieira found the time to explore with Edwards the complaint of far-left anti-war candidate Dennis Kucinich: “He [Kucinich] voted against the war resolution and he said, quote, ‘We had an audition for President in October 2002, and that the President must have,' again his words, ‘the clarity of vision, the judgment to make the right decisions on life and death matters.' The implication being that those who voted for the war failed the audition. People like you failed the audition. Do you, do you agree with that sir?”
In the two weeks since Edwards’ campaign bloggers became an issue, none of the big three broadcast networks have aired a syllable about this story, even though ABC’s Terry Moran, co-anchor of Nightline, questioned on
ABC’s Web site whether Edwards condoned “hate speech” by employing bloggers Amanda Marcotte and Melissa McEwan. On her own blog, www.pandagon.net, Marcotte took an outrageously offensive anti-Christian approach, such as this “joke” about the so-called morning-after pill.
Q: What if Mary had taken Plan B after the Lord filled her with his hot, white, sticky Holy Spirit?
A: You’d have to justify your misogyny with another ancient mythology.
Edwards’ first
public statement arrogantly suggested his bloggers had meant no harm: “I've talked to Amanda and Melissa; they have both assured me that it was never their intention to malign anyone's faith, and I take them at their word.”
“If a Republican candidate teamed up with a right-wing blogger who spewed this kind of venom, how would people react?” ABC’s Moran asked on his personal blog. It’s a good question — but NBC’s Vieira blew the chance to pose it to Edwards this morning.

Shitbag Jesse Jackson fleeces the flock

I can just imagine what he said when he found out he was a Father of an Illegitimate child, "What you're pregnant! That can't be, God said to me on the mountain top, Brother you shall not worry about illegitimate children for thou art the bearer of blackness". This Man is one of the more worthless people on the face of the earth. He ranks up there with the "reverend" Al Sharpton. His "Rainbow Coalition" is nothing more than a liberal reverse racist group bent on destroying America and turning it into a Socialist state that helps those who wont help themselves. You know just like the Democratic Party except more annoying. Just like most politicians Mr. Jackson can't stand to be out of the spotlight. Whether "rescuing" hostages in Serbia or Impregnating women, Jesse just loves him da spotlight. After two failed bids for the Democratic nomination for President you would think he would get the hint and just go away but keeping true to the liberal creed, He won't go away unless you pay him to do work he's not gonna do. And just what the hell is he a reverend of? I would feel sorry for the parishioners of that church. I just love the way he always uses the "Race Card". Claiming everything and everyone is racist, "What you burned down a Denny's and they won't let you back in!, Denny's is racist, What you have a prison record longer that Santa Claus's Christmas list and cops pulled you over for driving 20Mph over the speed limits and not having a license plate on your car!, the cops are racist!. Everything this man supposedly stands for is a damn joke just like him. I can't wait till someone offs you, you hatred fill racist.

Al "anti-Semitic" Sharpton

Al "anti-Semitic" Sharpton

by Tim Bueler
The Reverend Al Sharpton's run for the Democrat presidential nomination is shocking. While Sharpton has built his career as a self-proclaimed savoir -- a so-called "civil rights" leader - we find his recent history proves otherwise. Could it be true that he only comes to the aid of minorities not to help them, but for the purpose of personal political gain? What does Sharpton's history say about him?
According to CNN.com, July 13,1998, in the article "Winner in Brawley suit says victory is bittersweet," Tawana Brawley, a 15-year-old black female, was found in a garbage bag with dog feces smeared on her body and racial epithets scrawled on her, after disappearing from her home on November 1987. With the help of Al Sharpton, she claimed a gang of white law enforcement officers had abducted and raped her. One of these accused men was former prosecutor Steven Pagones. Eventually, a grand jury pronounced her story a hoax, exonerating Pagones. The jury found Sharpton liable for $65,000 of the total damages for making seven defamatory statements about Pagones, many of which included Al Sharpton calling Pagones a "rapist." Sharpton never apologized for his remarks against Pagones. The case was obviously racially inflamed with the help of Al Sharpton, who demonstrated his unrepentant hatred toward whites.
According to a Jewish Forward article "The Crown Heights Riot & It's Aftermath," January 1993, by Philip Gourevitch, a car driven by Yosef Lifsh, a Hasidic Jew, went out of control in Crown Heights. A black seven-year-old, Gavin Cato, was killed, and his seven-year-old cousin, Angela Cato, was badly injured.
When the driver stepped out of his car to help the child he had hit, angry black bystanders beat and robbed him before police could reach the scene. As the ambulance arrived to help the Cato children under the car, medics decided that Lifsh should be placed in the first ambulance. Seeing this, the black crowds began to gather, crying "racism," and chanting "Jews, Jews, Jews."
Later that day, the angry black mob came upon Yankel Rosenbaum, a twenty nine year old Orthodox Jew, shouting, "get the Jew" and "kill the Jew." Rosenbaum was stabbed and beaten. Later that day Rosenbaum died after receiving medical treatment at Kings County Hospital.
True to form, Al Sharpton rushed to Crown Heights. He called for the arrest of Lifsh, and even pressured Brooklyn district attorney Charles Hynes into convening a Grand Jury, which found no cause for an indictment. Al Sharpton then spoke at Gavino Cato's funeral, saying,
"The world will tell us he was killed by accident. Yes, it was a social accident. It's an accident to allow an apartheid ambulance service in the middle of Crown Heights. It is an accident to think that we will keep crying and never stand up and call for justice. What type of city do we have that would lie on our children and allow politics to rise above the blood of innocent babies? Have we lost all our moral fiber? Talk about how Oppenheimer in South Africa sends diamonds straight to Tel Aviv and deals with the diamond merchants right here in Crown Heights."
A horrific three-day, four night attack on Jews in Crown Heights neighborhood followed. Angry black mobs attacked Jewish homes, and held up signs that read, "Hitler didn't do his job." Many Jews throughout the community lived in fear - fear that was perpetuated by Al Sharpton's finger pointing gestures against Jews, which he referred to as "diamond merchants." Why isn't the "elite" media exposing Al "anti-semitic" Sharpton for stereotyping Jews? Is it because he is a minority? Is it because he is bleeding heart liberal-Democrat? Why don't they persecute him like they would a conservative? The radical left, through their control of the media, is not printing both sides of the story. We live in liberal times, where liberals like Sharpton can say all the racist, anti-semitic comments they want, and the media will "accidentally" miss it; but if a conservative dare say anything that could even be construed as hateful, that will be front page headlines. Are Al Sharpton's comments about Jews just an accident? When he's walking with people carrying signs with extreme anti-semitic comments, is that just by chance? Sharpton has built his political career by attacking Jews and whites. In other words, he is the very racist that he claims others to be!
According to the Jewish Post of New York, article titled "Burn the Jew Store Down," by Hy Drusin, The Jewish Post of New York, January 1996) The Reverend Al Sharpton organized a group of protestors in 1995, that began two months of protest outside Fredi's Fashion Mart, a Harlem business owned by Fred Harari , a Jewish man. At the time, Sharpton was the head of the National Action Network. The protest centered on the eviction of Sikhulu Shange, owner of the Record Shack, who was subletting from Mr.Harari. In months leading up the Harlem Massacre, Al Sharpton used black radio stations (WWRL and WLIB) to attack non-black Harlem storeowners:
"Now, many of us are involved in various levels of struggle. One of the things that our Buy Black Campaign, and Brother Morris Powell and I are engaged in, is there is a systemic and methodical strategy to eliminate our people from doing business off 125th Street. It started with the vendors, now they're going to the actual merchants. One of our brothers who has for years been a backbone in our community, who has not only been an entrepreneur, but has also been a activist and involved in the struggle is now being threatened with not having his lease renewed."
"Brother Sikhulu -- stand up, brother -- on 125th Street. I want to make it clear to the radio audience -- and do you hear -- that we will not stand by and allow them to move this brother, so that some white interloper can expand his business on 125th Street. And we're asking the Buy Black Committee to go down there, and I'm gonna go down there, and do what is necessary to let them know that we are not turnin? 125th Street back over to outsiders as it was done in the early part of this century." - Radio Station WWRL - Sharpton Rally - 9/9/95
Sharpton organized crowds of protestors, screaming about "bloodsucking Jews" and "Jew bastards" and threatening to "burn the building down." Finally, Roland James Smith, Jr., got Sharpton's message. On Friday, December 8, at 10:12 a.m., Smith walked into Freddy's Fashion Mart, pulled out a gun, ordered all the black customers to leave, spilled paint thinner on several bins of clothing and set them on fire, resulting in the deaths of eight people, including himself. Isn't it wonderful, how Al the racist Sharpton, can throw around words like "white interloper" and "bloodsucking Jews" in public, and the "elite" media conveniently misses it again! But I don't miss it. I see Sharpton for the kind of guy he really is: a low life liberal and racist who hates Jews.
The Democrat party doesn't care what Al Sharpton says or does. They have so few blacks in high positions that they are willing to justify anything in the name of diversity. Just imagine: if Sharpton was thrown out of the party, he would probably call them "racist" and say they are discriminating against him, or that they are holding the black man down.
But let me get something straight, if a conservative opens his mouth to speak the factual truth, he is called "racist," "fascist," or "homophobe," but if guys like Al Sharpton say things that would be objectionable coming from anyone else, they are called "activists."

Al Sharpton: A Vicious Bigot

Al Sharpton: The Democrat's David Duke
by Jeff Jacoby (February 26, 2003)
Among the earliest and clearest voices to condemn Trent Lott's benighted remarks last month were those of conservatives and Republicans, who were repelled by his nostalgia for segregation and quick to call for his ouster. When will liberals and Democrats show the same maturity and forcefully repudiate the noxious racial lout in their own tent, New York demagogue Al Sharpton?

And when will the media, which aggressively mined Lott's racial history and prominently reported the results, show a similar interest in digging into Sharpton's record -- a record far more shameful and egregious than anything Lott has to answer for.

This is a subject of more than idle interest. Al Sharpton says he is running for president. He has no hope of landing the White House, the Democratic nomination, or more than a handful of convention delegates, but that won't stop him from getting plenty of ink and air time. And maybe it shouldn't; presidential campaigns have often been enlivened and even enlightened by candidates who had no more chance of winning the presidency than they did of winning the Preakness.

But it is impossible to imagine, say, David Duke running for president as a Republican and not being shunned by every leading figure in the party. Impossible to imagine his campaign appearances being covered in news accounts that made no mention of his history in the Ku Klux Klan and his links to neo-Nazis. Impossible to imagine that he would be treated as just another candidate, albeit one with a "controversial" past. No one would roll over for Duke. Why are they rolling over for Sharpton?

After all, Sharpton's résumé is at least as vile as Duke's.

1987: Sharpton spreads the incendiary Tawana Brawley hoax, insisting heatedly that a 15-year-old black girl was abducted, raped, and smeared with feces by a group of white men. He singles out Steve Pagones, a young prosecutor. Pagones is wholly innocent -- the crime never occurred -- but Sharpton taunts him: "If we're lying, sue us, so we can . . . prove you did it." Pagones does sue, and eventually wins a $345,000 verdict for defamation. To this day, Sharpton refuses to recant his unspeakable slander or to apologize for his role in the odious affair.

1991: A Hasidic Jewish driver in Brooklyn's Crown Heights section accidentally kills Gavin Cato, a 7-year-old black child, and antisemitic riots erupt. Sharpton races to pour gasoline on the fire. At Gavin's funeral he rails against the "diamond merchants" -- code for Jews -- with "the blood of innocent babies" on their hands. He mobilizes hundreds of demonstrators to march through the Jewish neighborhood, chanting, "No justice, no peace." A rabbinical student, Yankel Rosenbaum, is surrounded by a mob shouting "Kill the Jews!" and stabbed to death.

1995: When the United House of Prayer, a large black landlord in Harlem, raises the rent on Freddy's Fashion Mart, Freddy's white Jewish owner is forced to raise the rent on his subtenant, a black-owned music store. A landlord-tenant dispute ensues; Sharpton uses it to incite racial hatred. "We will not stand by," he warns malignantly, "and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business." Sharpton's National Action Network sets up picket lines; customers going into Freddy's are spat on and cursed as "traitors" and "Uncle Toms." Some protesters shout, "Burn down the Jew store!" and simulate striking a match. "We're going to see that this cracker suffers," says Sharpton's colleague Morris Powell. On Dec. 8, one of the protesters bursts into Freddy's, shoots four employees point-blank, then sets the store on fire. Seven employees die in the inferno.

If Sharpton were a white skinhead, he would be a political leper, spurned everywhere but the fringe. But far from being spurned, he is shown much deference. Democrats embrace him. Politicians court him. And journalists report on his comings and goings while politely sidestepping his career as a hatemongering racial hustler.

When Sharpton came to Boston to promote his campaign last week, for example, the news coverage was uniformly upbeat. The Boston Herald noted the "joyous singing and thunderous applause" that greeted the "civil rights leader," whose "energetic visit left many enthusiastic about his presidential bid." The Globe announced the arrival of "the colorful and controversial 48-year-old community activist" with a story listing the places and times of his public appearances. The only allusion to his ugly record was a vague quote from a local minister: "He obviously has a lot of history and controversy to overcome." That was quickly countered by Sharpton's own self-description as a man known "for my fights against racial profiling and discrimination."

Well, that isn't what Steve Pagones or the family of Yankel Rosenbaum or the loved ones of those who were burned alive at Freddy's Fashion Mart know him for. As they can testify, Sharpton is a vicious liar and a dangerous bigot. As a matter of moral hygiene, his party and the press should be able to say so, too.

Don Imus Petition

Your comments will serve as a petition to NBC to get Imus his job back.
And remember that you could be next.

Steve Kapas makes his statement

NBC News president Steve Kapas backd by Jeff Zucker (at left) was a guest and explained the network's decision to pull Imus' show, saying, "When people who work for me come to me and say 'this could be my daughter,' I have to do something."

What this low life bastard really cares about is the money his sponsors are pulling from the show hence part of his yearly mega-bonus.Don't be fooled by statements, and people like these folks.Money is their God, and the media sponsors are their saviors. They could give a rat's ass about a basketball team full of immature kids.

It's Official Imus fired

Don Imus Fired from CBS Radio and MSNBC

Don Imus is officially off the air. CBS fired the embattled talk show host and canceled his longstanding radio program after an uproar over his racist and sexist comments.
The network made the announcement after coming under fierce pressure to fire him the day after MSNBC pulled the plug on his televised simulcast.
Before he was fired from CBS, a defiant Don Imus took to the airwaves and spoke about MSNBC pulling his TV show.
On the air, Imus said, "Some of the stuff that MSNBC has done this morning is frankly unethical, and I've asked them to stop doing it."
He also took a swing at MSNBC, saying, "These (bastards) they went after me. They got me. But they didn't catch me asleep."
Imus conducted a telethon to benefit three children's charities, which was scheduled to be simulcast on his MSNBC show. Instead viewers saw a graphic that read, "Imus Off MSNBC."
MSNBC scrambled to replace Imus with live newscasts. NBC News president Steve Kapas was a guest and explained the network's decision to pull Imus' show, saying, "When people who work for me come to me and say 'this could be my daughter,' I have to do something."
Last week on his radio show, Imus described the Rutgers University women's basketball team as "hardcore," "nappy-headed hos."
The Rutgers players who have captured the hearts of the nation made a special appearance via satellite on the Oprah Winfrey show
Oprah told the team, "I speak for everyone I know, when I say you all have made us all proud by how you've handled this whole ordeal."
Coach Vivian Stringer gave her first reaction to Imus losing his TV show, saying she and the team are waiting to judge him for themselves. "We want to have an opportunity to have a face-to-face meeting," she said.
And she revealed that meeting could take place "very very soon."
But the meeting is too late to save Imus's job.
What are your thoughts on Imus' being fired from TV and radio?

When Racists Meet

We are all by now familiar with the putrid and ugly racist rant that comedian Michael Richards (“Kramer” off Seinfeld) engaged in recently at a Los Angeles comedy club. That Richards’ sick behaviour should be condemned and that the comedian owes an apology to black people in general and to the individuals he verbally assaulted in particular – and perhaps even to the nation at large — is a given. What remains intriguing and tragic, of course, is the selective indignation and double standards that continue to exist in this nation in regards to racism and the expected apologies for it.When white people engage in racism, social pressures of all kinds arise to force into endless mea culpas and compensations. In the case of apologies, that should certainly be the case. But the same social phenomenon, curiously, does not arise when racial minorities perprtrate racial hate, either against each other or against white people. Connected to this reality is the bizarre development of Richards apologizing to, of all people, Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson – two notorious racists.Richards called Sharpton to apologize and also apologized to Jackson on Jackson’s radio show.It says something about black leadership in this country that its current “leaders” include two racists like Jackson and Sharpton. So Richards, in one sense, is stuck in the awkward predicament of trying to get his apology out to black people through the extremely limited avenues open to him. But it remains significant that our media and social critics have not caught the outrageous nature of this dynamic. While it is abundantly clear that Richards owes apologies of various kinds — no comparable pressures exist in our society that demand apologies from the likes of Jackson and Sharpton for the pernicious racial hate that they have engaged in over the years.Let us recall Jackson’s and Sharpton’s own monopoly on racial hate:In Sharpton’s case:In the midst of the 1991 Crown Heights riots, the good Reverend referred to Jews as “diamond merchants.”During the 1995 black boycott of Freddy’s clothing store in Harlem, Morris Powell, the leader of the boycott and the head of Sharpton’s Buy Black committee, referred to Jews as “crackers.” He shouted to passersby, “Keep [going] right on by Freddy’s. He’s one of the greedy Jew bastards killing our people. Don’t give the Jew a dime.” This was all done with Sharpton’s knowledge and blessing. After African immigrant Amadou Diallo was wrongly gunned down by four white officers in 1999, Sharpton led thousands of protesters in a series of marches denouncing both Mayor Giuliani and the alleged rampant police brutality over which he presided. With placards and chants, these protesters referred to Giuliani as, among other things, a “devil,” a “murderer,” a “monster,” a “bloodsucker,” and a “racist.”Sharpton has constantly referred to America as a racist snakepit and has characterized whites as uniformly racist. He has characterized white-on-black violence as “a national epidemic” – when he knows, like every socially conscious human being, that nothing could be further from the truth – and criminal justice statistics can easily demonstrate that.In Jackson’s case:As we well know, Jackson has referred to New York City as “Hymietown.”Jackson characterized Proposition 209, which banned racial preferences in California’s public sector, as a form of “ethnic cleansing” that would purge that state’s colleges and universities of supposedly “undesirable” minority students. He called former California governor Pete Wilson, who supported Prop 209, “the Susan Smith of politics,” a reference to a young mother who drowned her three small children in 1994; in other words, Jackson alleged that Wilson was planning to extinguish the hopes and dreams of countless minorities who needed his protection.Enraged by Ward Connerly’s opposition to affirmative action, he called Connerly a “house slave” and a “puppet of the white man.”Jackson also condemned Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’s vote to place limits on affirmative action programs, characterizing Thomas’s vote as “a brutally violent act” that, “in effect, stabbed Dr. King, . . . paving the way back toward slavery.” Along with Sharpton, Jackson led a prayer vigil outside Thomas’s home to protest the Justice’s decision. Likening Thomas to a Klansman, Jackson asserted, “At night, the enemies of civil rights strike in white sheets, burning crosses. . . . By day, they strike in black robes.”Jackson has asserted that blacks are not only “despised,” but are actually “hunted for sport.”Then there was Jackson’s stance on the “Decatur 6” — the clique of violent gang-bangers who perpetrated violence and mayhem at a high-school football game in Decatur, Ill. Their violence, which was part of a gang confrontation, endangered innocent people, including women and children. Jackson supported these thugs, called them “our children,” and inferred that the villains in the case were the white members of the Decatur school board who wanted to punish them. He argued that whites were the problem in this incident and he broke the law and was arrested protesting these thugs’ expulsion from school. Both Sharpton and Jackson have, along with NAACP chief Kweisi Mfume, embraced race-hater and notorious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan. Michael Richards’ apologies are in progress. The media and the nation are making sure of it.Good.But when are Sharpton’s and Jackson’s apologies to begin? When will our society and media become consumed in moral indignation about their past statements and behavior? And let us suppose that Jackson and Sharpton do decide to apologize. Would there be scepticism and shock if they did so by approaching someone like Michael Richards as their vehicle? It would seem rather absued and inappropriate for them to do so, no?The inappropriateness and absurdity of the reverse situation stares us in the face today. And there is a deafening silence about it.

The Tawana Brawley Debacle

On November 28, 1987 Joyce Lloray happened to look out of her apartment's sliding glass door in time to see a black girl climb into a big green plastic garbage bag and then lay still on the cold, muddy ground. Mrs. Lloray called the Duchess County Sheriff's Department, setting into motion a chain of bizarre and tragic events that made the quiet little town of Wappingers Falls, New York -- population 5,000 -- the focus of national attention. The girl in the trash bag on the grounds of the Pavillion Condominiums was 15-year-old Tawana Brawley. Four days earlier she had played hooky from school in order to visit a former boyfriend, Todd Buxton, who was incarcerated at the Orange County Jail in nearby Newburgh. That evening Tawana took a bus to the town of Wappingers, where she had lived with her mother in Apartment 19A at the Pavillion Condominiums prior to their moving to Wappingers Falls. According to Tawana, she was abducted by several white men shortly after she got off the bus; the men, one of whom wore a badge, took her to a wooded area and sexually abused her over a period of several days. When police and paramedics arrived at the Pavillion Condominiums in response to Joyce Lloray's call, they found Tawana's clothes torn, cut and partially burned. Her body and clothing were smeared with feces, and on her chest and torso the words "KKK," "NIGGER" and "BITCH" had been written with what appeared to be charcoal. Since it seemed that Tawana's civil rights had been violated, the FBI was called in. A rape kit was administered at St. Francis Hospital and sent under seal to an FBI lab for analysis. Interviewed at the hospital by a black officer from the Poughkeepsie Police Department, Tawana claimed she had been repeatedly raped by a group of white men but could provide no names or descriptions of her assailants. She later told others that there had been no rape, only other kinds of sexual abuse. Forensic tests found no evidence that a sexual assault of any kind had occurred. Nor was there any evidence of exposure to elements, which would be expected in a victim held for several days in the woods at a time when the temperature dropped below freezing at night. There were other discrepancies in Tawana's story. She was seen entering the empty apartment at Pavillion where she had once lived on the morning after the alleged abduction. Other witnesses claimed to have seen her at parties in a nearby town during the period when she was "missing." She had no bruises, contusions, scratches or other injuries except for a small bruise behind the left ear, which was determined to be several days old. Her mother, Glenda Brawley, was spotted at the apartment complex shortly before Tawana was seen getting into the garbage bag; the mother waited until that same afternoon to report Tawana's "disappearance" to the police. The investigation turned up evidence to indicate that the damage done to Tawana's clothing had occurred in the apartment. According to the grand jury report, all of "the items and instrumentalities necessary to create the condition in which Tawana Brawley appeared on Saturday, November 28, were present inside of or in the immediate vicinity of Apartment 19A." The feces had come from a neighbor's dog.The Tawana Brawley case was quickly seized upon by a trio of black activists who viewed it as a means by which to demonstrate that the police and judicial system were racist and corrupt. Attorney Alton H. Maddox had been beaten by a white mob as a teenager in Newnan, Georgia; confrontational and virulently anti-white, Maddox seemed at times less interested in justice than in the potential for conflict that high profile cases like Tawana Brawley's provided. C. Vernon Mason, another New York attorney, also used cases to drum up publicity and address wider issues. Al Sharpton was a flamboyant Pentecostal preacher who spent $2,000 a year for hair care at Brooklyn's Prima Donna Beauty Salon; his hunger for celebrity caused some to question both his motives and methods. Maddox, Mason and Sharpton had joined forces before, in the Howard Beach case a year earlier. Several black men had been accosted by a white mob and one of them, Michael Griffith, was chased out onto a highway where he was struck by a vehicle and killed. In previous cases, Maddox and Mason had used the tactic of non-cooperation, refusing to let their clients testify in an effort to facilitate a "miscarriage of justice" in which the perpetrator(s) would get off. In this way they could heighten the outrage of the black community and claim the result proved that the judicial system discriminated against blacks. The trio muzzled Tawana Brawley and claimed everyone from the local police to New York Governor Mario Cuomo was engaged in a cover-up. The Brawley camp eventually accused Harry Crist, Jr., a part-time police officer, after Crist committed suicide on December 2, and Steven A. Pagones, a Duchess County district attorney, of participating in the alleged abduction and rape. Further investigation revealed that Crist had killed himself for reasons unconnected with the Brawley case, while Pagones' testimony convinced the Poughkeepsie grand jury that he was not involved in any wrongdoing. Undeterred, Maddox, Mason and Sharpton staged numerous media events, from news conferences and rallies to appearances on television shows like Phil Donahue and The Morton Downey, Jr. Show to keep national attention focused on the case.As time went on, the public grew increasingly skeptical of Tawana Brawley's charges and the ill-advised tactics of her handlers. When Tawana's mother was subpoenaed to appear before the grand jury and failed to do so, a warrant for her arrest was issued; Maddox, Mason and Sharpton took her to the Ebenezer Baptist Church in New York City and organized a rally, hoping (in vain) that the authorities would force their way into the church and seize her. Two of Sharpton's associates quit, claiming the reverend had known all along that the case was a hoax. Other black leaders criticized Brawley's advisers -- Ray Innes of the Congress of Racial Equality and attorney Conrad Lynn among them. They feared the hoax and the antics of publicity hounds like Sharpton would prove detrimental to the cause of racial equality. After seven months of examining police and medical records and listening to the testimony of over one hundred witnesses, the grand jury determined that Tawana's charges were false and that her condition when found had been self-inflicted. The question remained: Why had she lied? One hypothesis was that since Tawana had already been grounded on the day she skipped school to visit her ex-boyfriend, she had made up the story of her abduction in order to avoid further punishment. The AftermathThe Brawley case resurfaced a decade later when Steven Pagones filed a defamation suit against Maddox, Mason and Sharpton; he had already won a default judgment against Tawana in 1991. By 1997, Tawana had moved to Washington and changed her name to Maryam Muhammad. She returned to New York to speak before a rally at Brooklyn's Bethany Baptist Church in support of her advisers, insisting that she had told the truth about the abduction. The court found otherwise. Her advisers were ordered to pay Pagones $345,000 while Tawana had to pay $185,000. "Tawana Brawley appears caught up in her own fiction," said New York State Supreme Court Justice S. Barrett Hickman. Unfortunately, the rest of the country had to be caught up in it, too.REFERENCESNewsweek, 14 March 1988, 10 October 1988Time, 28 March 1988, 20 June 1988, 4 July 1988"Tawana Brawley Sticks to Story"Associated Press, 3 December 1997"Sharpton Remains Feisty in Face of Pointed Questioning"Michael Hill, Associated Press, 10 February 1998"Woman Hit With Damages in Suit"Associated Press, 10 October 1998Outrage: The Story Behind the Tawana Brawley HoaxRobert D. The Spitting Jackson

The Spitting Jackson
by Will Varner from the American Times TodayFormer Black Panther leader Jesse Jackson admitted in a November, 1969 “Life” magazine interview that when he worked as a waiter in a Greenville, South Carolina hotel he spat into the soups and salads of White customers. “[Spitting into the food] gave me a psychological gratification,” Jackson said.During his early years in the communist civil rights movement Jackson often repeated this story to audiences. In fact the New York “Times” in a July, 1972 article, said: “Jesse would spit into their soup or salad before he brought it to the table, and watch with enjoyment as Whites ate gobs of saliva as though it were, say, oil and vinegar dressing.”Jackson’s formerly self-professed behavior as a waiter reflects his contempt for Whites. When he was an adolescent he often made fun of Whites, recalls Horace Nash, a classmatte of Jackson’s in Greenville.“He [Jackson] made up foolish jokes about Whites, about how stupid they were,” remembers Nash. “He used to turn things around, and he actually looked down on White people.”As a self-professed preacher Jackson sometimes delivers sermons on the legacy of slavery, and many of his campaign speeches are laced with strong racist overtones. We urge all Whites that frequent fast-food chains and who are concerned about their health, to remember that if there are negroes preparing food there, you can bet that they are doing the same thing.

Don Imus Biography (1940-)Radio talk show host. Born John Donald Imus, on July 23, 1940, in Riverside, California, and raised in California and in Prescott, Arizona, with younger brother Fred, where his father owned a cattle ranch. After a self-described “horrible adolescence” in which he changed schools frequently and his parents divorced when he was fifteen, he left high school, joined the Marine Corps, and the marine band. After his discharge at the age of nineteen, Imus had unsuccessful stints as a window dresser, and as a rock-n-roll musician with his brother. For a time, he was homeless, and found shelter in Laundromats. In 1961 Imus hitchhiked to Arizona, where he worked in uranium and copper mines, made another attempt at a recording career, and worked as a brakeman for Southern Pacific Railroad. An injury sustained on the job earned him a cash settlement and a chance to play the music he and his brother loved, working as a disc jockey.Imus got his start at a small radio station in Palmdale, California, in 1968. After establishing himself and his brand of witty, somewhat coarse and controversial, humor, he moved on to Cleveland. During an on-air gag in California, where he ordered 1,200 hamburgers from a fast-food restaurant, Imus earned the distinction of inspiring a new Federal Communications Commission ruling that demanded radio personalities to identify themselves when telephoning listeners. In Cleveland, his style earned legions of fans, and also critics who urged a boycott of his show.In 1971, Imus made a big move to WNBC in New York City, where he started Imus in the Morning, and continued his brand of “insult humor.” No one was exempt from his ridicule, including the station’s management and his own sponsors. Though at the top of his game on-air, Imus battled addictions to alcohol and drugs, and became unreliable and difficult to work with. He was fired in 1977 for his conduct. Imus made his first stab at recovery, returned to Cleveland to clean up his act, and was subsequently brought back to New York in 1979, only to return to his addictions. His morning show thrived nonetheless for a few years, but competition from FM stations threatened. Imus’ health continually declined and in 1987, he finally sought treatment. In 1987, WFAN all-sports radio bought WNBC, but opted to retain Imus’ show upon his return from a treatment program. When the show initially dropped in the ratings, Imus decided to eliminate music from his show and go all-talk. With his penchant for frank and unpretentious social and political commentary, along with his usual gags and pranks, Imus earned new fans and once again became a hit. Critics admired (and some were disgusted by) his ability to simultaneously “get away with” coarse and seemingly irreverent banter, and also attract respectable and serious politicians and other guests to appear on his show. Not only that, but, as one reviewer noted, he was able to elicit relaxed and uncommonly forthcoming answers from his otherwise guarded guests.Imus’ cast of everyday characters includes news reporter Charles McCord, producer Bernard McGuirk, sports reporter Mike Breen, and his brother Fred, a frequent call-in guest commentator. His 1981 book God’s Other Son was re-issued in 1994, and his radio show was picked up for simulcast cable television’s MSNBC in 1996. Imus has also published a collection of photographs and commentary, Two Guys, Four Corners. A biting and, some say, unacceptably insulting speech at the Radio-Television Correspondents Association dinner in Washington D.C. in 1996, earned Imus new fans and dissenters alike. He was particularly harsh on President Clinton and the First Lady, both of who were in attendance. Imus’ defense was that he refuses to be a hypocrite. And Don Imus is still not one to hold back on and off the air. His habit of making cutting, off-the-cuff statements has landed him in hot water in many times, and he has even faced several lawsuits, including one in 2004 regarding his negative comments about a doctor. But his derogatory remarks about the Rutgers University’s women’s basketball team members in 2007 may be the final straw for the veteran radio personality. He made a sexist and racist comment about the predominantly African American team.Don Imus made the offensive remark on his April 4 show, and since then he has been the subject of intense media scrutiny with many calling for his resignation or for him to be fired. Several of his show’s advertisers and sponsors have pulled their ads, including Staples Inc. and General Motors Corporation, in response to his comments.A few days later the derogatory statement was broadcast, Don Imus told his listeners that he wanted “to take a moment to apologize for an insensitive and ill-conceived remark we made the other morning regarding the Rutgers women’s basketball team. It was completely inappropriate, and we can understand why people were offended. Our characterization was thoughtless and stupid, and we are sorry.” He also appeared on the Reverend Al Sharpton’s syndicated radio program in another effort to apologize for his comment. But these efforts did not quiet the outrage over his remark in the African American community with such public figures as Barack Obama speaking out about the situation.Only time will tell if this outrageous outburst will be the end of Imus’ almost forty years in radio. MSNBC announced that it would no longer air a simulcast of his program on the cable news network, and WFAN has suspended Imus for two weeks. It is unclear whether the radio station will take further action.Despite being in the middle of a media maelstrom, Don Imus moved forward with his commitment to charity work. He hosted the 18th annual WFAN Radiothon before his suspension went into effect. The fund-raiser benefited the Imus Ranch, the Tomorrows Children’s Fund, and the CJ Foundation for SIDS. Since 1990 Imus has championed children’s health charities, raising money for research into pediatric cancer and sudden infant death syndrome, and construction of a Don Imus/WFAN Pediatric Center for Tomorrow’s Children at the Hackensack (New Jersey) Medical Center.Imus has been married to second wife Deirdre Coleman since 1994. They have a son, Wyatt. He also has four daughters, Nadine, Toni, Elizabeth, and Ashleigh, from his first marriage
